SLUstart I-Corp Next Cohort

SLUStart I-Corps is a program managed by the Research Innovation Group in Saint Louis University’s Office of the Vice President for Research. It is designed to help University researchers as well as community inventors and innovators extend their focus beyond academia and the laboratory.

Steve Epner and Ken Herold are eager to facilitate your entrepreneurial journey as you take an idea and turn it into a business.

Our first session for the next Cohort will take place on Saturday, November 9th at the Collab Space at 4220 Duncan from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.  The second session will be held on Saturday, November 23rd (same time and location).  In between these sessions, your team will execute a minimum of 5 customer discovery sessions.
 

If you are not able to attend the first session on November 9th, please contact us.

Upon signing up for the program, we will send out a meeting request to block out your calendars. If you would like to include others from your team in the email notifications, please forward their email addresses.

Many of you have reached out inquiring if you need to prepare or bring anything. Please note, these are work sessions therefore, all you need are your ideas and participation.  You will be working as teams and groups on your idea.  We will provide a series of index cards to help you through the process.  You will not need a laptop.

Demystifying Government Contracting is a monthly series that focuses on helping businesses sell to the government with a new topic every month. January’s topic will be a repeat session of the workshop on November 22nd, 2019. The workshop will cover new laws and regulations, as well as the changes to SAM and DUNS registrations. Co-presented with the Small Business Administration (SBA), this month will focus on the new updates and system changes in the government contracting sector, including the SBA’s new Runway Extension Act finalized on January 6, 2020.
